At the very outset, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Department of Assamese for deciding to publish a web journal on its website. As the Principal of Thong Nokbe College, I am extremely proud and delighted for our faculty and students for undertaking this great endeavor.

               I hope, the launch of the web-journal ‘Ankuran’ will be dedicated to preserving and promoting regional languages and cultures. Indeed, the Department of Assamese deserves appreciation for this effort. All dedicated faculty and enthusiastic students are working hard for this initiative to preserve and promote the rich heritage of the Assamese language.

               May this web journal be a captive to our readers and provide them with a glimpse into the unique cultural tapestry of Assam. May this platform showcase our students’ talent, and hard work, and contribute to the wider dissemination of Assamese literature.

               It’s my sincere hope that the ‘Ankuran’ will recognize and inspire our students to further explore and contribute to Assamese literature. I trust that this will not only benefit our institution but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for regional languages and their artistic expressions.
